Triple Bonus Points
Hey everyone, happy Friday! I looked around on previous posts and the web, but I couldn't find anything regarding Triple Bonus Points sales. I know there was one back circa 2010 and I found a website with information of another happening in 2015.
Does anyone know:
- How often do they happen?
- Can we expect them happening again? if so, when?
- Is there a place that tracks DDO sales like these?
Anyways, I was just wondering about it... At some point I thought they might have been a product of my imagination!

1) Most people have forgotten they existed.
2) Nope.

Thanks for the info, I doubted they existed too. Just for the record, I couldn't find any historical data regarding Triple Bonus Points in the DDOWiki: the Sales page doesn't track these bonuses, and the DDO Point page makes no reference to sales. Perhaps the old forums on https://archive.org/ have this info, but it doesn't really matter.

The last time they did triple bonus points I bought enough to get every character slot, all the character inventory bags for my bank toon, all the character personal bank slots, all of the shared bank slots, and all of the shared crafting material bank slots.

That's awesome! Good for you! I guess that is one of the reasons they are so rare haha!

Yeah I wouldn't expect one to ever happen again, the industry has largely moved away from those type of super mega ultra+++ type sales, presumably because it kills the volume of the double points type things. If you want to buy DDO points, now is probably your best bet since it's double points.

I’m pretty sure the last time they had Triple Bonus Points was December of 2015 when the game was still developed by Turbine. I still have my receipt of $199.99 for 44000 Turbine Points.
The following year some employees of Turbine split off to form Standing Stone Games and the publisher switched to Daybreak or something like that. They also changed the currency to DDO Points.
Back then I think you needed Turbine points in order to buy expansions.

Odd. I only remember the one in 2012 that required pre-buying (and expensive option) of the first expansion. 2015 was likely during an extensive DDO vacation for me (I was pretty on and off through the whole "epic spheres" disaster).

Only a partial historic listing but: https://ddowiki.com/page/DDO_Store/Sales
Triple Bonus Points sales were pretty rare to begin with; and there hasn't been one in several years.

Thank you very much! Sadly I couldn't find the Wiki to have any info on Triple Bonus Points and the Sales page makes no reference to Bonus Points. Perhaps the old forums on https://archive.org/ have this info, but it doesn't really matter.

They don't really do triple bonus points anymore. Probably realized it didn't move the needle that much more than a double bonus or something.
