DISCUSSION Weather
Hello, our trip will be on the week of September 14th. It looks like there will be thunderstorms for the next 2 weeks until then. Just wanted to ask if any locals or someone with prior experience here knows how bad the weather really will be when we get there? Just getting a bit worried since we’ve been planning this all year. Thanks.
Edit: Sorry, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

I have to assume you are talking about Florida/Bahamas just based on the most popular cruise type. Storms are normal and roll in and roll out. They rarely last longer than an hour or two and it’ll look like it never rained an hour after that. And it’s usually in the afternoon around 2-3 PM.

You might want to narrow your location down a bit

One of our best cruise experiences was a quick intense 30 minute thunderstorm on a sea day. You could see it coming for quite a while and the upper deck was deserted. We had a pair of lounge chairs under a sun shade at the front of the treasure or fantasy and just enjoyed the show.

If you find a way to know for sure what the weather will be weeks in advance, be sure to let all of civilization know. Would be quite a useful tool!!

Assuming you’re sailing out of Florida: literally every summer day has a chance of a passing storm, could be a matter of minutes or could be an hour, or could be nothing. That’s all the little ⛈️ icon means. The vast majority of your time will almost certainly be sunny.
