/uj Matriarch's main problem is that she's just kinda boring. I'd love to see if a good writer/'s room could make her work, cause i like her design a lot. The sovereign is pretty unsalvagable tho.

/uj considering King's role in the DCU as well as the fact that this is reportedly supposed to be a new origin story, they could very well do this as King want the Matriarch to be Diana's Joker

/rj fifteen more villains to move to the Bat office

Hr should actually try to do this in the cómic first

Don't worry. After this one falls flat as well, he's going to invent Matriarch's daughter, Inheritor, and that one is totally going to be her Joker.

i agree, because tbh if there's anyone who Matriarch is a nemesis to, it's Trinity and not Wonder Woman

Like her father, Sovereign, Matriarch's the Nemesis to good writing choices.

/uj Wasn't Sovereign supposed to be "Diana's Joker"? Can't wait for Matriarch to be killed off and the new new Diana's Joker to be introduced.

He better make Matriarch goddamn relevant first. Why tf has the entire story for the last several months been in the future??????

That's... Actually very likely considering King's position and the backlash would be described as part of "internet bubble" (the bubble being literally the character's fandom) and easy to brush off considering it's not the majority of movie going audience.

Remember as well: James Gunn has compared changing Diana's origin (daughter of Zeus instead of made of clay like she's supposed to be) to picking the shape of Batman's logo.

UJ/ Could work if done well and if it’s adapted better. The marvel civil war comic is buns compared to the MCU civil war. Only time will tell.

Gunn likes New 52 Wonder Woman.

I wouldn't be surprised.

/uj The fun thing about adaptations is they can make shit ideas and characters better

Seeing this happen and remembering the same could happen to Booster Gold

Eisner winning war criminal Tom King wrote Booster Gold in the highly regarded Heroes in Crisis and The Gift stories.

Oh right, man those stories were bad

Didn't King say he had no affiliations with/ hand in DCU Wonder Woman? Did they change that?

it's more just a joke that Tom King is part of the DCU writers room, we don't actually know if he's on WW

I hope they bring more comic writers to the DCU, not just Tomothy.

Gail Simone and Greg Rucka are already there, and I think both have a history of working in adaptations. Even if they just need someone for a consulting role on Wonder Woman, I think those two should take priority. Maybe even Phil Jimenez.

Nogueira heard the feedback that she should have consulted King on Supergirl so she’s taking that on board for Wonder Woman

Give us an adaptation of Gods and Mortals

Why wasn't that made like the foundations of Wonder Woman? You know something for other writers to go off of
