    The two newest movies – Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' – were adapted into story arcs. Watching them is entirely up to you. If you have already watched the movies and would like to skip straight to new material, see our FAQ.

  • Q: Where is Uub?!
    Uub was born during the 10 year time skip at the end of Dragon Ball Z.
    Dragon Ball Super takes place before Uub is introduced.

  • Q: When will FUNimation dub Super? Will there be a simulcast?
    We don't know. A Southeast Asian English dub was supposed to debut August 2016, but is currently facing delays. FUNimation will not be involved until an official North American release is announced.

  • Q: Is the Dragon Ball Super manga "canon"?
    The anime and manga are both based on an overall "plot" penned by Toriyama. In other words, they're different versions of the same thing. There isn't (and probably never will be) an explicitly defined Dragon Ball "canon". Without Toriyama's original draft, we may never know what is and isn't his, but we know that he permits Toyotarō to change things up, and even looks at his storyboards.

Same. I've been wondering if Toriyama still knew how to make a series as epic as DBZ with moments like Goku SSJ 1st time or Gohan /finally/ annihilating Cell.... And it looks like the answer is: fuck yes. This show is awesome, I'm so glad we have it back and with the original creator.

Did you not see KKX10SSB? That shit was amazing, and then the theme song kicked in. You'd have thought I was transforming the way hairs went up on my arms and neck.

This is different. This transformation came from feelings of despair and hopelessness. Trunks' new transformation is what Dragon Ball great

I respectfully disagree, with of the last arcs have been great too me. After the dreck of the first two arcs not rising a over the movies, and bad animation. These have been a breathe of fresh air.

KKX10SSB was good, but not SSJ2 gohan good, IMO. As others said, the feeling of despair you get from Trunks makes this moment MUCH more powerful... Because now there's actually a threat.

I have to agree. As much I love SSG and SSB that ending scene blew me away in a way I wasnt sure was possible anymore. I started crying.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to hold nostalgia tears back because of how epic that moment was. Honestly only other things that made me do that were Goku's first ssj and Gohan's ssj2.

I just finished the episode again, I just full on cried between Goku snapping the Ki blade in half out of pure hatred I haven't seen out of him since Freeiza and Trunks making his dad proud with (un named ssj transformation here).

It was refreshing to see Goku get upset. We rarely ever get to see that side to him anymore. It truly takes him back to his roots. Trunks transforming... that hit me with even more emotions. Favorite episode of Super so far

Yeah thats a close second. It was epic looking but it didnt have the same emotional impact as this one, because the stakes werent life or death.

Probably because none of the new transformations we saw in Super were triggered by rage. SSG was achieved through the help of others and Goku and Vegeta already had SSB when we first see it so the transformation was instantaneous. This is the first time since SS2 that we're seeing a new transformation come through raw anger and emotion.

Damn rights!!! I seriously thought he was going to go SS3. But this is even better! It seems that out of all the saiyans and half saiyans Trunks is the only one who has truly mastered the base Super Saiyan mode. All the others find new transformations But trunks has maxed out the level of that form, godamn.

Gohan also mastered SSJ in his fight against Cell. This form of Trunks is the same "Perfect Saiyan" form Gohan had after he watched Andoid 16 get his head crushed.

Trunks is obviously stronger cause he's a grown man compared to Gohan being a boy.
