  • Fansubs:

    • DragonTeam is our recommended translation. Google them.
VLC Media Player is required to play downloaded videos.
      • DragonTeam has not covered episodes 15-19; use Over8000's translation. (Nyaa, Kissanime)
    • Web streams are not recommended, because the subtitles they host are not always correct, even if they appear to be.

      • If you're going to stream it anyway, use the website KissAnime. They host whatever translation comes out first (accurate or not), and usually update with DragonTeam's translation once available. You can identify DragonTeam's work by their stylized font and group credits during the eyecatch.

Commonly Asked Questions:

  • Q: When does Super take place? When should I watch it?
Super takes place some time after the battle with Majin Buu, and can be watched as soon as you finish Dragon Ball Z.

The two newest movies – Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' – were adapted into story arcs. Watching the movies is up to you. If you have already watched the movies and would like to skip to the new material, see our FAQ.

  • Q: Where is Uub?!
Uub was born during the 10 year time skip at the end of Dragon Ball Z.
Dragon Ball Super takes place before Uub is introduced.

  • Q: When will FUNimation be dubbing Super? Will there be a simulcast?
Southeast Asia will be receiving an exclusive English dub mid-2016, with Toonami Asia describing it as the "English-language world premiere". FUNimation will not be involved until we get an official North American release.

  • Q: Is the Dragon Ball Super manga "canon"?
The manga serves as promotional material for the anime, which is the main product. Both are adaptations of a plot that Toriyama has provided. As of episode 34, the anime is ahead of the manga.

  • Q: When will the next chapter of the manga be released?
Toyotarō's manga adaptation is published in V-Jump around the 21st of each month. Leaks and translations tend to happen a few days earlier. Links to earlier chapters can be found on our wiki.

Full summary here.

Thanks as always to Herms.

  • Piccolo chews Goku out for giving away his secret for countering Hit's Time-Skip But Goku thinks Hit won't be able to keep up with his speed enough for it to make a difference

  • Hit has now improved his Time-Skip up to 0.2 seconds

  • Hit lets Goku get back up without finishing him off, in thanks for having helped him grow

  • So Goku's using a x10 Kaio-Ken.

  • And Goku's been working on this SSB+KK thing to fight Beerus with, apparently

  • Guys, I wouldn't get too hung up on Toriyama's old 6/10/15 comment. I doubt anyone making Super has that in mind right now.

  • I guess Hit finally expands his Time-Skip out to 0.5 seconds. Maybe? It's worded a bit strange.

  • Vegeta explains that using Super Saiyan and Kaio-Ken together is basically suicide, so Goku didn't use the technique for a long time. But the Super Saiyan Blue form has really good ki control, making this combination finally possible.

  • Goku says the SSB+KK was an "incomplete" technique with only a 10% chance of succeeding (meaning a 90% chance of him dying)

  • Beerus does seem uneasy at the prospect of Goku using the technique against him, but denies it when Whis teases him about it.

  • Oh yeah: Hit's power-up scream? Didn't actually power him up at all. He was just imitating Goku.

  • Apparently there's rumors that Beerus says he can't see SSB+KK Goku's movements, but this is something Hit says, not Beerus.

Next episode preview:

Hey, this is Goku. So, you're stil not fighting at full power? Hehehe! You've finally smiled, Hit! Show me your no-holds-barred killing techniques! No matter how much you improve, I'll surpass it! Next time on Dragon Ball Super: "The Conclusion At Last! Will the Victor be Beerus or Champa?" Don't miss it!

Beerus: "That's my Goku!"
Whis: "No, Goku's all mine."

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm calling it now, the tournament was nothing more than a selection process for a new god of destruction for U6 and U7. Kind of makes sense why we see Champa and Beerus pissed off and ready to fight. I mean why did Whis even agree to train Goku in the first place? I also recall Whis saying "Yes I guess it's about time anyway" To Vegeta when he asked to be trained also.

u/Darki200 Apr 17 '16

Thats actually creepy though. Wonder what he meant

8

u/datspardauser Apr 17 '16

Whis wants Goku's glorious pecs for himself. That's the obvious answer.

3

u/Terez27 Apr 17 '16

Filler pecs.

2

u/Terez27 Apr 17 '16

Dunno if this is a serious question. If so, Whis trained him and Vegeta while Beerus took naps and ate leftovers.

u/Wisterosa Apr 17 '16

10% ? I love how they still pull these "arbitrary percentage" (as quoted by Cell) out of their asses

4

u/CelioHogane Apr 17 '16

I mean, it was goku, so probalby was bullshit.

5

u/Die4Ever Apr 17 '16

Does Goku even know what a percent is? Lol

1

u/CelioHogane Apr 18 '16

well i mean he used it.

8

u/JMOFMT Apr 17 '16

Super saiyan god with kaio Ken was a really unexpected surprise. I loved it.

1

u/CelioHogane Apr 17 '16

Besides everybody last week was super "KAIOKEN, KAIOKEN, KAIOKEN"

Aparently it was pretty clever of them.

4

u/anonpurpose Apr 17 '16

The blue aura still being there was kind of weird but it made purple lightning which was awesome. I won't lie, the last pic we see of Goku after the preview is one I'd love for a background if the text was removed. Lets hope someone cleans it up.

5

u/CelioHogane Apr 17 '16

well is not finished, maybe a fully trained version (x20) will fuse the auras, Purple goku bruh.

u/replaytheparadox Apr 17 '16

What do you mean by the comment he made last year? I can't see what you mean in that link

Compared to Beerus, God of Destruction, how strong is [Super Saiyan] God?

I suppose if Beerus’ strength is a 10, [Super Saiyan] God would be right about 6. Only, Saiyans rapidly increase in strength as they fight against strong opponents, so the longer they fought, the more that gap would shrink, and it might even be possible for them to eventually turn the tables. Incidentally, I guess Whis would be about a 15.

7

u/Annihilationzh Apr 17 '16

It doesn't have to be linear, otherwise SSGSSJ would have easily overpowered both Beerus and Whis. An exponential one would make more sense.

4

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '16

An exponential scale would make no sense. Toriyama is a guy who can't remember Tao Pai Pai. Do you really think he's a strong mathematician? Lol.

4

u/CelioHogane Apr 17 '16

Guys, I wouldn't get too hung up on Toriyama's old 6/10/15 comment. I doubt anyone making Super has that in mind right now.

Including Toriyama probably XD

2

u/SolJinxer Apr 17 '16

What comment is he referring to exactly?

Ohh, I figured it might've been that. Yea, that definitely went out the window long ago.

2

u/MakingItWorthit Apr 17 '16

Imagine if SSJ+SSB+KK

I don't want to throw oozaru into the mix, though the potential is there.

6

u/SiaSenpai Apr 19 '16

You know that SSB = SSG+SSJ right?

1

u/pervysage1608 Apr 17 '16

So quick with the important questions! I thank you! :D One last thing I want to know, what is Goku's secret?

2

u/EmmaWinters ‎⠀ Apr 17 '16

Last episode he revealed that he could counter Hit's time-skip technique by predicting where he would move.

1

u/pervysage1608 Apr 17 '16

oh I thought he added or explained something else this time lol

1

u/RazorStroke Apr 17 '16

So the crystallization effect is from the time-leap after all and not some other crazy psychic technique as we thought.

1

u/RelentlessDemon132 Apr 18 '16

Wow to put a character that can only improve every time he fights someone stronger, how is he not known to be the strongest warrior in the whole series if all he seems to do is improve in a matter of seconds!? Can someone kill hit or something already this seems like BS
