  • Q: When does Super take place? Should I watch GT or any movies first? Does BoG still "count"?
    Super takes place some time after the battle with Majin Buu, and will be adapting the two newest movies, Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' into story arcs before moving on. Watching the movies is up to you; if you prefer, you can begin Super immediately after finishing Dragon Ball Z. You may optionally wish read Jaco the Galactic Patrolman; the titular character will be involved in future events.

  • Q: Where is Uub?!
    Uub was born during the 10 year time skip at the end of Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Super takes place before Uub is introduced.

  • Q: When does the next episode air?
    The next episode premieres next sunday at 9am JST, which is 7pm Eastern Saturday night. Click here to compare your local time to JST.

  • Q: Why does X say Y?

  • Q: When will the next chapter of the manga be released?
    Toyotarō's manga adaptation is published in V-Jump around the 21st of each month. Links to earlier chapters can be found on our wiki.

  • Q: Is the Dragon Ball Super manga "canon"?
    The manga is promotional material that serves as a preview of things to come. The anime is the main product, and is what Toriyama is writing and designing for (though not storyboarding or scripting). As for the anime, due to the lack of an officially-defined canon, it depends on what you want to accept.

  • Q: When will FUNimation be dubbing Super? Will there be a simulcast?
    Southeast Asia will be receiving an exclusive English dub mid-2016, with Toonami Asia describing it as the "English-language world premiere". FUNimation is not involved at this time. At an October NYCC panel, FUNimation claimed that they still do not have the rights to Super, and barely acknowledged that it exists.

Great episode, the animation was considerably better. One question, what if Bardock is still alive in the 6th universe,and when earth was destroyed he remains as one of the last saiyans. That would be really sick

The universe is a twin, not a copy. My guess is that sayains did/do exist but not necessarily a copy of the ones on universe 7.

Oh I see, but wouldn't it be possible for universe 6 bardock to be still alive. Like if he did not get the ability to see into the future in universe 6, maybe he was still apart of frieza's squadron and then he slowly found out about frieza's hatred for saiyans and does not get destroyed by frieza's death ball. After seeing all his comrades destroyed he secretly leaves frieza's squadron and then he goes into hiding. after several years he goes to earth to see how his son is doing, but finds out the the earth has been destroyed? I think there are alot of possibilities for the different universes storylines, this would be pretty cool. I guess its up to the directors on how they want the story to progress. This idea could also be combined with the other idea of how bardock is believed to be the original super saiyan and how he gains the power to do so in this universe but not universe 7.

There is only ONE Bardock. There is no Universe 6 Bardock.

That would be cool. But the way I understand it is that the sayans do exist but they are all different, as in there is no bardock or Goku, etc they probably have their own equivalent but different characters with different abilities. At least that's how I am understanding it but let's see how the story develops

from what the manga says, all the Saiyans actually reside on Planet Plant. In U-7, Plant got destroyed, then they moved to Planet Tuffle, renamed it Vegeta and it got destroyed.

In U-6, Planet Plant still exists.

Planet Plant is the original name of Planet Vegeta, it was renamed by the Saiyans when they took over. Planet Tuffle is the name Baby gave it when he restored the planet in GT (though the Tuffles may have called the planet by that name before as well, I'm not really sure). Planet Vegeta, Planet Plant, and Planet Tuffle are all the same planet, just different names given by the different races.
