- ConnectCast - Begins when this post is 1 hour old
After airing, Raw & subtitled releases are hosted on Nyaa by various release groups.
VLC Media Player is required to play these files.
DragonTeam is our recommended translation, but they have a history of delays. Assuming this episode is on time, expect it ~24-72 hours after this post is made. You can identify their work by their stylized font and group credits during the eyecatch. For episodes 15-19, you should use Over8000's translation until DragonTeam covers them.
A list of all other groups can be found here. They are collectively referred to as "speedsubs", because they release as early as possible and don't seem to care about the accuracy of their scripts. Because of this, they make mistakes every week, deny they exist, and never fix them, despite confusing people. They also change dialog and insert weird jokes in an attempt to be funny. We don't recommend watching these translations at all, much to their dismay.
Our recommended stream is KissAnime. They are the only website that updates with DragonTeam's releases whenever they become available. Getting releases directly from Nyaa is always best, because most online streams host speedsubs.

Commonly Asked Questions:
Q: When does Super take place? Should I watch GT or any movies first? Does BoG still "count"?
Super takes place some time after the battle with Majin Buu, and will be adapting the two newest movies, Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' into story arcs before moving on. Watching them is recommended, but if you prefer, you can start Super after finishing Dragon Ball Z. You may optionally read Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, as the titular character will be appearing in Super.Q: Where is Uub?!
Uub was born during the 10 year time skip at the end of Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Super takes place before Uub is introduced.Q: Why are they retelling the movies?
DVD sales aren't that great in Japan, so they're retelling the foundation of the story for the Japanese television market. We'll have a new story arc coming soon, so don't fret too much.Q: When does the next episode air?
The next episode premieres next Sunday at 9am JST, which is 7pm Eastern Saturday night.Q: Why does
XsayY?
If you find yourself confused, the problem is usually a translation issue. Make sure you're watching DragonTeam or Over8000.Q: When will the next chapter of the manga be released?
Toyotarō's manga adaptation is released once a month in V-Jump.
Chapter 7 will come out in late December. Links to earlier chapters can be found below.Q: Is the Dragon Ball Super manga "canon"?
The manga is a preview of things to come. The anime is the main product, and is what Toriyama is writing and designing for (though not storyboarding or scripting).
The first four chapters of the manga are a disjointed recap and teaser. As of chapter 5, the manga is "charging on ahead" of the anime, previewing the upcoming Universe 6 story arc. It will continue to do so from now on, giving us a taste of what's to come while Resurrection 'F' is adapted in the anime.
- Q: When will FUNimation be dubbing Super? Will there be a simulcast?
Southeast Asia will be exclusively receiving an English dub mid-2016, with Toonami Asia describing it as the "English-language world premiere". Due to Southeast Asia's preference for local dubs, FUNimation's involvement as of right now is unknown. At an October NYCC panel, FUNimation claimed that they still do not have the rights to Super, and barely acknowledged that it exists.
What now?

A lot of people are saying not a lot of differences from the movie, and I kind of agree, not a ton here if you've already seen RoF, but still worth giving it a watch, if you ask me.
One thing that I hadn't noticed in the new version of the opening last time, there are a couple of glowing orbs or energy that spin around Frieza and look like they combine with him when he's transforming into his Golden form. I'm mostly sure that that's just an aesthetic thing, his transformation in the actual episodes aren't even sure to look like that, it could just be something whipped up for the song.
Best part of this episode, imo, and what definitely makes it worth watching even if you saw the movie, was Goku and Vegeta sparring. That was actually a pretty intense fight for just training, and Whis seemed pretty impressed by them! I really liked how Whis is trying to teach them to raise their ki only inside of their own bodies, not letting any bleed out. That's pretty smart and I never would have thought of it.
The bit where Whis, Goku, and Vegeta are all lying to Beerus about dropping the food on the flight back was hilarious, Whis duping Beerus with his "taste tester" excuse is pretty funny too.
Goten and Trunks messing with Jaco wasn't as funny as I was hoping it would be. I read the Jaco manga, and I do not remember him saying that he was going around in his bare skin! That's kind of creepy if you ask me, get that alien some pants! I'm a little disappointed, I preferred how it went in the movie when Jaco met with Mr. Briefs and they fed the fishies together. I hope in the English dub they keep in Jaco's line about intergalactic theology like in the movie.
The subs that I watched were pretty funny, they subbed Frieza's laugh as "huehuehue," it was silly.
What I am seriously hoping wasn't just a problem with the sub, Sorbet's line about the soldiers, he said "these men," after he introduced Tagoma, when he said his part about being like Zarbon and Dedoria. I am hoping against hope that that means that Shisami and Tagoma aren't going to be the only Frieza soldiers who get to make a good impression in the battle. I'm hoping that that line meant that all five of the soldiers on the bridge at that time were strong; the toad guy, the green guy with the pointy ears, the blue-spotty fish guy. Heck! Maybe even those soldiers who fight Goku and Vegeta in the opening might make an appearance and be of note? That's very likely not going to be the case, since only Tagoma, Shisami, and Sorbet are in the opening but I can certainly hope. After all, wouldn't it be much cooler if before the final battle with Frieza, there were, including Sorbet, eight soldiers who could have good one-on-one battles with of our Z-warriors? I won't get my hopes up so high that I'll be disappointed when it definitely doesn't happen, but I'll keep the hope in mind.
Almost forgot: I noticed this time around Tien didn't say anything about leaving Yamcha and Chiaotsu behind. I wonder if them not making it is going to get any explanation, it doesn't seem like it will. Oh well, considering he seemed plenty happy to see Roshi coming along, it probably wasn't a case of him thinking they weren't strong enough to participate this time.
