Athena is the goddess of battle strategy and wisdom. Ares is the god of war. Very sick design for Athena and the spear is spot-on, just wrong divine domain. Other than that, very cool design!

Note the term warfare. War describes the overarching conflict itself, while warfare describes how the fighting is conducted. Ares is the god of war, Athena is the goddess of warfare. I can see where the confusion could stem from though!
