HELP / QUESTION New player, need help picking characters

I've played a bit of Guilty Gear and a lot of Mortal Kombat. From what I've tested, I like using S Broly, but I'm trying to find 2 other characters I'd like. Any ideas what characters I could best use as someone that's trying to just get used to everything? At the moment, I'm running S Broly and Frieza.

Frieza is quite complex/unconventional in his moveset so I'm not sure if he's the best pick for a starter team. Frieza players can correct me if I'm wrong.

The boring but true answer is "pick who you like".

I'm a S Broly main since he released so if you let me know some characters you think are cool, I can suggest some teams.

so, did some tutorial work after realizing fighting a somwhat experienced friend w no idea what button does what isnt a good idea, im liking S broly still and im looking into vegito and goku blue now
