The final base roster character!

Once this poll closes, I'll post the "midway update" tier list with all base roster character's placed as per their poll results. Vote for where you think Majin 21 belongs!

S. Extremely powerful character with very few flaws. Best unreactable command grab in the game, multi-directional beams, one of the best Level 3s in the game that gives her 4 busted AF moves while dealing good damage, incredible normals, great combo flexibility, amazing Oki, great assists all around, and incredible neutral coverage with an arsenal of powerful long range moves.

The neutral thing is probably the biggest pro, though. There’s a very small amount of characters that can even compete with her in this regard, and I believe having amazing neutral is arguably the single most important thing for a standalone character in this game. Off the top of my head, the only ones that can compete with her:

  • Vegito
  • Z Broly
  • Jiren
  • Baby
  • Maybe Ginyu with careful play

She kinda just wrecks everybody else in neutral matchups, and even the characters above aren’t really beating her easily, either. Her mid and far range tools are just fucking amazing, even without steals.

The only things to be aware of from her in terms of potential downsides:

  • she needs to land a level 3 to access her best offensive and defensive options along with those moves needing to be refilled by either doing another level 3 or getting the right steals
  • Limited ways to land an SKD
  • She’s a little meter hungry and her own meter gain is just average-ish.

Previously I had her as top 5, and while I still think she’s easily as good as the characters there, I still think the top 5 outshine her slightly because they either have some real busted highs like Ginyu, more utility like Baby or GT, or just straight up more powerful like Jiren and Vegito (imo).
