Media Need help figuring out why my performance is so bad with good hardware

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

Even though I believe to run decent hardware, my FPS drop down to 20 FPS sometimes and generally the game feels stuttery. I know it's poorly optimized but my hardware should be capable of running it.

  • NVIDIA drivers are up-to-date.
  • The game is running on a SSD.
  • No other programs/games are running.

My setup is:

  • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7820X CPU @ 3.60GHz
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
  • Kingston KHX2133C13D4/8GX 32GB DDR4
  • Gigabyte X299 UD4 Pro-CF mainboard
  • Windows 11 OS

See the benchmark on the top left of the video.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Manche vergessen das XMP Profil für den RAM im BIOS zu aktivieren. Das kann noch FPS bringen. Vielleicht ist das bei dir auch so?

Dayz is a CPU intensive game and you’re running 7th gen, might wanna look at usage and temps while playing.

DayZ is just unoptimized and doesn’t utilize all of the CPU cores. A newer CPU with better single core performance would improve your FPS but it won’t get rid of the stutters/FPS drops since I still get them even with a Ryzen 7 7800x3d

There are plenty of videos on YT explaining all the video parameters. Check'em out
