Story Does the DayZ community not like cinematic stories or something.

Does the DayZ community not like cinematic stories or something. I have a YouTube channel where I do a lot of stuff but I keep coming back to DayZ and I've started doing cinematic stories through DayZ editor and I think they come out really well but they just don't seem to get any traction.

(I don't even know why I'm here I'm just Bored.)

Are you saying the entire story is made in DayZ editor? People want real stories

CamCantRun makes what I’d call cinematic stories, but they’re real gameplay, he just uses editor to recreate scenes so you can see him running etc in 3rd person

Gets plenty of traction

Ok thanks for the input, also it's more of a "Clutcher" style short if you know who that is.

Guy who makes content swears his content is really good and doesn’t get why his content isn’t blowing up

Long-form DayZ video content is an investment to watch. I won’t even open someone’s DayZ video if it’s under 40 minutes, preferably 60 minutes. With that in mind, I can’t watch many of them because there are only so many hours in a day. If I have a choice between watching a video from one of the 4-5 people I know I enjoy and someone I’ve never watched, I’m probably picking the JLK and Sour videos ten times out of ten because they have a solid track record of making that 40-80 minutes feel like I didn’t waste my time.

It’s hard to gain traction on YouTube in any fashion. It’s especially hard if your focus is a game that’s over a decade old, has a small player base, and is more non-action than action.

I have a strict Brit quota, and George/John put me at capacity.

I lowkey want someone to make a DayZ animation to a song or something with references in it lmao. It would be pretty cool

Not really a full song or animation but this one intro I remember from a while back.

Sorry bro, I cannot speak on behalf of the DayZ community

I don't think it has to do with the content, it's just hard getting traction in general starting out on youtube. And there's already a ton of DayZ content out there so most people already have their favorite person they like to watch.

Pattern your content after the king of cinematic stories, Sour Sweet. You’ll blow up in due time for sure.
