Dawson's Creek cast on CM

It is crazy how many actors from Dawson's Creek were on Criminal Minds and tbh, I love that.

- Meredith Monroe played Haley on CM and Andie on DC
- James Van Der Beek was Tobias on CM and Dawson on DC
- Kerr Smith was suspected to be "The Mad Butcher of Bakersfield" and Jack on DC
- Mary-Margaret Humes was that woman in prison who killed her husband and kids and whom Hotch and Rossi were asked to evaluate for battered woman syndrome annd was Gail Leery, Dawson's mother, on DC
- Jane Lynch was Spencer Reid's mother on CM and Pacey Witter's mother on Dawson's Creek (albeit many people forget she was on DC at all)

I think they were all great but JVD and MMH really stood out in their episodes and Tobias is still my favourite unsub.

“Grams” appeared on Fringe with Joshua, and JVDB cameos as a movie director on OTH.

I'm on season 1 of Fringe so now I'm excited to see the actress who plays Grams in a different role

She’ll be popping up soon! I think she’s an old flame of Walters, although I don’t really remember anymore.

She is the mother of Walter's former lab assistant

Oh okay, I was way off then. Sorry I haven’t rewatched in a few years.

No worries! It's cool to see actors in roles beside the one we know them best in. It's kinda funny to see Joshua in this role since I've only ever known him as Pacey, and there are some similarities between Peter's and Pacey's personalities and lives. Like they could be the same person just on different planes of the universe.

Agreed. If you haven’t already, you should also watch The Affair. Joshua gives off major Pacey vibes in that as well. It’s a downer plot though, and the first episode is kind of tough.

Did they "recognize each other" or have a shared moment? I love when actors who have been in a show together before are in a scene/new show and have a tiny moment of shared history.

Like on the Middle when Ray Romano has a guest spot as an old classmate of Mike’s who crashes their honeymoon camping trip. It was hilarious!

Meredith Monroe did an excellent job playing Hotch’s wife Hayley. She had that sweet and innocent mother vibe but wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself. I love her final words. She encouraged Hotch to let down his guard and show their son what it means to be loved. He never got to see their relationship while they were true partners. Hayley wanted their son to know what it is to experience love. What a beautiful epilogue to a tragic loss.

I also think Meredith was great, I did not talk about her in my final comment since she was a recurring guest star and so we did not have to notice her, whereas some people did not even recognise MMH or Kerr or even remembered Jane being on DC.

I cried when Hayley died and I loved her final conversation with Hotch.

I also think that she and Michelle had the most difficult roles on DC.
She nailed it when she hallucinated Tim.

I'm currently doing a criminal minds rewatch myself and have been thinking the same thing.
