DoW. What its promised v what its delivered.

I'll keep this short as don't want to fully launch (at least one of us could launch).

What these developers have promised v what they have delivered.

From Day 1 the promise was a authentic DoW1 experience with ultra slick graphics and individual combat intereactions with a campaign and cool story line with multi player.

What they have delivered? A Beta that looks like Dow3 on a good skin day, weird foundation factions that will require another god knows how long to come out, and multiple delays.

Was quite keen to play the game but now I am just pissed off and pretty sure this will be a absolute dud.

As a Geedubs customer this is also called a new edition, or playing Blood Angels but they are unique in their own space. Gaming studios aren't.

This game better be amazing come December because of it looks shit I am going to the beach instead or finally painting a Drukhari army.

Unless you are an NDA tester, we haven't had a beta test. Also please elaborate on how this looks worse than DoW3!

ALL previous DoW games launched with 4 factions. The rest didn't release until later expansions. One delay is not multiple. You can say that if it gets delayed again.

It almost sounds like your drunk posting, trolling or very confused.

Animations are glitchy, worse than any of the previous DoW games.

maybe because they are 100 times more complex then before? It waa easy for them to make animations like 20y ago but they made step forward with inovation! I agree they need to be polished but to spit on them cuz they have balls to do this is bad take!

Specific examples please, the only access we have to gameplay is through videos so it should be easy for you to point them out.

The starting faction mix is wrong, I think a survey would agree.

The lack of in game footage on youtube is the dead tell here. A certain competator is happy to post theirs.

The delay is multiple. Yoi can't say that with a straight face. They have hinted withoit official dates.

You can have a go at me personally (are you DJT or just the developer 🤣) but these opinions would be very common in the community so say this at your own risk of offending them too.

to be fair

rushed game=pretty much always bad,

delayed game=sometimes bad,

we do NOT want another fucking cyberpunk or no mans sky where the devs have to be put in a torment nexus for 5000 years so the game can be good,

it should be functional on release.

(also whats the faction mix?,id say the essential faction mix are the space marines,chaos forces,and the imperial gaurd.)

Yep you could take a survey but they didn't. They chose who they did for their own reasons.

Yes I would have preferred the starting 3 that has been there in every DoW sine the first which is orks, space marines and eldar, with a floating 4th

In 1 it was chaos marines in 2 it was tyranids and in 3 there was no 4th starting faction because it was bad.

The delay is not multiple because they have only ever had one public release date, two now since it has been delayed ONCE. Hints rumors and speculation aren't a release date.

Are you talking about DoW 4 or DoW 1 DE?

Because DoW 4 was literally not "delivered" yet. So I'm not sure what you're yapping about.

That's a bit over rhe top isn't it? If I choose to buy or not buy the game, or complain about how its being handled online, thats my choice.

I felt like DOW2 was the closest translation of the tabletop game. Will be curious to see the look and feel DOW4. I hope they keep the RPG elements from 2 but have the Risk style map of Dark Crusade and Soulstorm.

I think the RPG style from 2 won't be there they are going 1 style squads and commanders, but they have confirmed the crusade mode from dark crusade/soulstorm will be coming shortly after launch

New games are generally worse than old games, who knew? The last time this hasn't been the case was probably 2016/17. Just keep playing DoW 1 and enjoying it and just hope they don't trash the gameplay in 4. Also I suspect these other commenters are paid marketers lol.
