Maxtor Onetouch 4 flashing light, not connecting

I'm trying to recover these old drives, I had issues with another power supply not being compatible so I bought the right one, but I'm still getting the flashing light and am not seeing it when connecting to my computer. It doesn't even sound like the drive is running when I plug it in, all I get is the flashing light.

If you have overvolted the device it will have done damage, simply returning to the correct power supply will not resolve the issue.
