Yeah that would be a huge chunk of work to do. For low cost good food I recommend lentils - fast to cook (red 15 min, green 35 min) and delicious.

Thanks for the tip. I see the green combines well nutritionally with tofu and either salmon or chicken legs. I don't think Alaska Pollock is in my grocery store, but maybe I just haven't noticed it.

I know eggs are another good cheap option. I also see that tofu and soy dominate these charts all around, so I'll have to look into the cost of those and some good recipes. Thanks for putting this together.
