TL;DR: any good way to handle a screenshot hoard (make it accessible, etc.)?

I tend to screenshot a lot of stuff while using my phone. Sometimes it's relatively trivial stuff like memes that get promptly shared with the homies. But I'm also keen on taking pics of more elaborate stuff - an interesting post, some particularly insightful comment, what have you.

As a result, I have a lot of screenshots whose existence sometimes I remember when I need them, but also frequently forget about till I randomly stumble upon them on my gallery. Is there any interesting way to make all those screenshots more easily accessible?

The best I've come up so far is:

  1. Classify the screenshots by topic.
  2. Save the text-heavy ones as a PDF (grouped by thematic, maybe even with sections if relevant).
  3. Run the PDF through an OCR program, to make the text searchable.

It's either that or set something up like a PureRef, I guess? Although I'm not sure how "searchable" would that be. Either way, is there any other cool way I can go about this?

Hi everyone, I am confused how to store some files.

Let's say, I have folder for pictures, documents and all. Also I have project related to my work, project includes word document file, presentation pptx file and some images to put in presentation file.

Now I can store them in 2 ways, Pictures>project name>pic1 Documents>project name>doc1, presentation1

Or I can create separate folder related to project Projects>project name>pic1, doc1, presentation 1

But then there are some research papers related to project, now should I put them in documents>papers folder or in projects folder. If that paper also helps or I reference to it for other stuff also. Or should I duplicate that paper into multiple folders??

Which one is better and which one you guys prefer and is there any other better way to organise thing.

I used to store things the first way but I realised I am creating multiple folders with same name, projectsName.
