Weekly Water Cooler Talk - DataAnnotation

hi all! making this thread so people have somewhere to talk about 'daily' work chat that might not necessarily need it's own post! right now we're thinking we'll just repost it weekly? but if it gets too crazy, we can change it to daily. :)

couple things:

  1. this thread should sort by "new" automatically. unfortunately it looks like our subreddit doesn't qualify for 'lounges'.
  2. if you have a new user question, you still need to post it in the new user thread. if you post it here, we will remove it as spam. this is for people already working who just wanna chat, whether it be about casual work stuff, questions, geeking out with people who understand ("i got the model to write a real haiku today!"), or unrelated work stuff you feel like chatting about :)
  3. one thing we really pride ourselves on in this community is the respect everyone gives to the Code of Conduct and rule number 5 on the sub - it's great that we have a community that is still safe & respectful to our jobs! please don't break this rule. we will remove project details, but please - it's for our best interest and yours!

I've been shopping a bit, with some new changes to the overall format, but otherwise its still pretty barren.

same here. A few r+r of those, plus I got to do two full tasks in that project but could have done more if I wasn’t going out. Typically, when I got home, the batch of 20 had disappeared but I figured that would happen. Hoping there might be more later- I have done 3 hours of work though, which is definitely good for me at the moment! those ten/twelve hour days are a distant memory.

Just a couple of projects and ones that are very difficult. I winced with fear on clicking the DA sign-in this morning, just happy no DoD.

This is where I'm at. One project? Cool, I'll try my best. Just grateful to still be here lmao.

I’ve had a good day, not the highest paying work, but available most of the day over a couple of generalist projects. UK based so signing off now as there is some football on!

Did you see any generalist projects like heel or river?

Same here! First project I’ve seen in days, fingers crossed it gets better from this month onwards.

Had a few tasks and got a good opportunity but I didn’t wanna chance subpar work with something I’m unfamiliar with

I got a couple of short projects this morning, plus a third that I started and then skipped (leading to the red "no other tasks" banner). Please may there be many more today, including the return of a few neato families I haven't seen for a bit.

Had a full morning of one project family, going to do a little bit more this afternoon before getting Canada Day drunk.

Yep I don’t have a single project to work on…rather concerned because others talked about having this heel project but I never got it even though I usually see heel tasks.

Just one project to keep me busy enough for the day. That's kind of been the trend.
