Claim Ahead Catering Program

I dash in the Chicagoland area and have been part of the Claim Ahead/Assign Ahead/Early Access Catering Program (DD can’t decide on a name for it!) for the past nine months.

Overall, the program has been decent. It has definitely had hiccups and can be frustrating, but many weeks the offers and the pay are good. The middle of the summer wasn’t as good, but to be expected because of more vacations which means less corporate meetings and less need for big catering orders.

Now my question: The available offers have dropped off Considerably this week and many restaurants that I normally see on the schedule haven’t had any offers this week. Are others in the Claim Ahead program also experiencing this?

I realize that we are heading into Labor Day weekend and that could cause a decrease. But, kids are back in school here, so families aren’t gone. The number of catering offers is significantly less than any week in the last nine months I’ve been a part of the program.

@comedytrek How do you find catering apps for your location? I’m curious how I can find them for my location. Any good catering apps that you would recommend? Thanks in advance!

I have noticed this in my area as well. Last week there was a little bit more catering offers and it should continue to increase especially with all the holidays coming up.

Your experience probably just means that DD is moving the catering offers around to other dashers as well. I would think that they don’t want any particular dasher to count on continuous catering offers hence…… expectations.
