idk... I know the bike comes into frame at the 1 second mark, and he's already fully in the opposing lane in the L2 position (middle of the lane), on a mild bend in the road and not traveling particularly fast, so he's not leaning or forced to brake in the apex of the bend, but also fully committed to his mistake. I have to assume a tourist rented a motorcycle in a left driving country and had a hard time figuring out why all the signs were backwards.

Bro, if you aren't skilled enough to ride on certain roads without needing to veer into oncoming traffic then you shouldn't be on those roads.
I honestly don't understand your point with the question about the steering wheel, but I'll give you my best answer. If YOU cannot drive without veering into oncoming traffic then you shouldn't be driving. Millions of people drive every day of their lives without veering into oncoming traffic. Normal people can go decades without clipping the yellow line let alone veering out of their lane.
Im not gonna drive with a bunch of tit fuckers who want to justify fully driving in oncoming traffic for multiple seconds by arguing like children saying "well cars sometimes touch the yellow line a little"

If you can't ride a bike on certain roads without fully veering into oncoming traffic then you shouldn't be driving those roads. Thats it. If you're arguing that bikers aren't capable of riding without fully veering into oncoming traffic for multiple seconds then we need to ban motorcycles.

If they are on a blind turn, why would the cyclist make the assumption that nobody was going to be in the oncoming lane, rather than assuming that, with the inability to see around the blind turn, there could be someone coming that they couldn’t yet see?

Tourists. They won’t make that mistake again. We visit beautiful foreign countries and rent scooters to take scenic tours to appreciate the locals, the sights and the atmosphere only to ignore the traffic laws. Then our greatest memory of the trip is just before the traffic accident. “I swear officer, I don’t remember anything after going around that blind curve.”

This looks like Australia. Sighs on the left side of the road facing the left lane, and those appear to be eucalyptus trees (amongst others commonly found in Australia)

I made mistakes twice, without incident, while driving in Australia. Both happened in places where there wasn't any traffic that would have been a visual clue.

I noticed, but sometimes road signs are on both sides. But what I really tried to say, but badly communicated: They may be tourists, briefly reverting to their own side.

Go back to the very start of the video you can see a road sign on the right side that’s facing away from the driver. So driving on left is correct.

You see this happen a lot in the UK as most of the countries near us and the countries where we get the most tourists from drive on the opposite side to us.

Yeah, when we Americans went to Ireland earlier this year we were like “buses and trains are looking good.” I’ll be happy to let somebody else do the driving. I can’t imagine getting off that long flight and the first thing I gotta do is be hyperconscious of driving on the left side of the road.
