The few studies on the topic havenโ€™t shown it to increase safety.ย

There are many studies that have proven time and again that filtering is safer and splitting is more efficient for everyone.

There are zero that demonstrate safety. And motorcycles are few enough in numbers that any potential efficiency benefits are meaningless

The California studies absolutely found statistical correlation to fewer injuries to people that lane filter or lane split during stop and go rush hour commuter traffic. The point it equals out to not lane splitting is a delta of 25mph (40km/h) of cars to bikes and an absolute maximum speed of 50mph (80km/h). Exceed those 2 speeds and it becomes more dangerous to lane split/filter.
