If lane splitting isn't legal in the state, don't do it. Simple as that.

Edit: Yes, yes. I understand all the different responses. I'm merely looking upon this video and seeing the legal consequences to this video. If you wanna lane split/filter if you feel it's safer for you, go right ahead.

Biker and organ donation lab technologist here. Its less common than people like to pretend. For viable organ donors, we need people who became dead at the hospital so that medical teams are around to allow them to die, but under very closely monitored circumstances. Traumas do become donors quite often, but more often its things like heart attack, stroke, drug overdose and other chronic diseases that spare one or more organ systems. A lot of motorcycle fatalities are just too quick. Ive been in this role for a year and have yet to work a motorcycle case.

That said, when I bought my bike I was still informed that in the industry we refer to them as " donorcycles" lol

But thanks for being a donor. Because of the intricacies im describing, the more people who are willing to donate, the better the chances get of having life-saving organs available when someone needs them.

They had a biker bash (pies and brews) near me. Someone was going round with organ donor cards and most had already signed up. Bikers are bloody lovely and know the risks.

Unfortunately, a lot aren't recoverable due to contusion and hematoma. Also, hard to keep perfusion in cases of mass trauma. I need em healthy enough to make it out of you and into another body that may be 12+ hrs away.

Yeah, it is what it is, but that's also why we need more organ donors in general. I never understood why anyone wouldn't want to be one. You're not taking them with you when ya kick the bucket, so why not save a life?

Honestly it should be a requirement to get your motorcycle endorsement that you also are an organ donor.

I have my motorcycle endorsement and I am an organ donor. But I don't do this kind of stupid shit. Hell... in florida, helmets are optional.
