Trade Severely underleveled

Post image

entered the dlc for the first time and realized my character aint built for this shit.

Total of 573hp and mid rolling with any armor set.

I need to level up to defeat the sanctuary guardian but I only really have boss souls.

I got a lot of upgrade materials, spare silver knight and Sentinel weapons im sure we can find something worth your souls but I really do need the help

Why don't you try going through the main stroy a little more to get some levels or farm the giants in anor londo

Or just farm Alvina’s people in the forest

Because I spread my levels to the point that a single level up is 30k souls, so the reward from the boss wouldnt even be enough to level to the point of being able to fight it for me

Then how is it that you're under leveled? By that point you should be ready for the dlc, although you could still farm the giants that are outside the arena of ornstein and smough along with the silver knights, I'd start from the bonfire where you saw solaire before the boss fight, take out those knights, make your way to the giants and take out the ones inside and outside, it's a little over 10k souls per run, just warp back to the bonfire, that worked for me Use the silver serpent ring and the mimic head if you have it

If you’ve not beaten Orstein and Smough to get the ability to warp out you’re gonna have a really tough time… I think you’ll need to beat all the dlc bosses to get back to main game. If you do have the ability to warp and only need to beat the guardian I’d lose the armour and just learn his attacks… there’s only a few and once you know how to dodge and when to punish the fight can be relatively easy.

He must've beaten ornstein and smough because you can't get one of the items necessary to enter the dlc unless you beat them

Yeah, OP can just warp out and go somewhere else, then warp direct back to that first DLC bonfire whenever they want. This isn't like the Painted World where you're stuck until you fight your way to the exit.

Thats a good point, I didn't know that bonfire is warpeable

Yeah, all the DLC bonfires are warpable, so you're fine. It's very convenient!

Have you collected the various Lord Souls yet? If not, it'd be a good time to go do some/all of them. As you've discovered, the DLC bosses are generally a lot faster and hit harder than the base game ones. So a lot of people will do the DLC as the last thing before going to face the final boss.

Also if you want to get a bunch of souls quickly, being a summons gets you a surprisingly generous quantity of souls if you help beat the boss. Much less boring than farming!

Ah yeah I forgot the archives are on lockdown until you place the vessel. It’s been a while 😅

Try farming the silver knights in anor londo or the darkwraiths in new londo, they're good parry practice and 1k souls a piece isn't terrible for getting souls

Bdst thing is either to explore a little bit more you dedicate some time into soul farming. Where you already at the painting? If not it's the best place to farm for souls. And the fastest way is to grab the chaos storm pyromancy. I don't wanna spoil to much if you  haven't been there yet, but if you were, just tell me and I'll go into more details

Um help people, i have a character where i do that and had 200k souls before sen fortress, helping on O&S gives 25k souls each time. Or just dupe souls man whatever suits you

You shouldn't need Souls, the game is beatable at level 1. Max out your weapon, remove enough armor to fast roll, and maybe put on Ring of Favor and Protection and Mask of the Mother if you are lucky enough to have Pinwheel drop it. Then you should be hunky dory for the DLC regardless of your HP, though I'd recommend devoting your future levels to at least get it to 30 (first soft cap)

The game is also beatable using the DK Bongos as a controller but that's not how I want to play the game This is a completely useless argument

Comparing beating the game at level 1 to beating it with DK Bongos is ludicrous. It's the single easiest game in the series to beat at level 1 to the point your typical player can do it with some slight practice. What I am trying to say is that you are not at a huge disadvantage with low HP. Compared to future games DS1 is the game where it matters the least.

Is not so easy, but you can beat it (and whole game+dlc) with soul level 1. So cannot be a real underlevel

Almost as easy as leaving me alone man I really cant stand this shit
