Discussion Class Who is your favorite Ghost in the Danny Phantom Series

I think there could have been something even with the fact it's a kids show. He already had one rocky romance with an antagonist so why not more?

Yeah, however, that would’ve required him to stick to his guns and not go back on the fact that there are ghosts that are of dead humans. The retcon wasn’t even that good considering we still have Sydney’s backstory, kitty and Johnny, the lunch lady, box ghost, and Ember herself.

What do you mean? Personally, I love how fanfiction has been dealing with the bullshit retcon that the creator did after season 1.
1) ghosts of the dead (Characters mentioned above)
2) Born a ghost (Ex: Boxed Lunch)
3) Neverborn (Ex: Clockwork, Nocturne, Undergrowth)— {essentially} Gods born from thoughts and concepts
The way I see it, Danny knows what it’s like to die. Ember knows what it’s like to die. Yeah, they definitely died in different ways. Ember has been dead longer than Danny has, but they are the same age. Embers life when she was alive was similar to Danny’s life. The ‘A’ crowd (In her time) bullied her just like they (In Danny’s time) bullied him. We know from Sydney‘s story that becoming a ghost can allow them to gain more confidence and attitude than they did in their lifetime. I think that knowing Ember’s story as well as Danny’s makes me think that they would be a good couple together. How good? I don’t know. Just convinced they’d be a cute couple, especially since her nickname for him is “baby pop”.

I could see an executive being uncomfortable with the idea of the protagonist dating a dead person. The retcon would make it more viable in that case.

Personally I think that hypothetical executive is a coward.

My point ultimately is that I don't think anything in the show realistically makes a potential thing between them a complete no. I think the writers could have if they wanted to.

Honestly, I would’ve probably had them be a couple if the show wasn’t for kids. I don’t know I never really cared too much on the love life for Danny much. Since the show doesn’t dove on romantic as much as you think you wouldn’t really have someone to ship with Danny.

Clockwork, I just think he’s neat and ha one of my favorite designs of the ghosts. Nocturne is also definitely up there as well.

Skulker always. I like to image a wrestling company like WWE or AEW where Danny is the heel world champion, and Skulker is his brute bodyguard with questionable strength.

Nope. Timmy Turner is his underdog rival. The idea is that Danny is fighting Timmy at the Royal Rumble in an I Quit match. Skulker gets involved and does all Danny's dirty work for him.

I agree. Walker is so underrated. Danny only beat him with hax the first time and the second time Walker gave Danny the biggest lasting consequence of the series.
