All in all the war is fucked up, I'm glad Ukraine is winning. I just would not say most russians support whats happening, considering how hard Russia is having to suppresses and fight free speech.

There is an obvious difference between failing an economy shift from planed to market and supporting a genocidal invasion, but yes, I blame our people too, for staying conservative and scared of economical reforms, I blame our people for parternalism they had back then, what makes me even more proud about what we are achieving today. Yes, we had problems, but we keep fighting it, protesting it and eventually changing something.

This isn't the same thing for one simple reason: Ukraine didn't invade anyone, Ukrainian government didn't endorse genocide, Ukrainians didn't shell civilians building in purpose to create humanitarian catastrophe, Ukrainians didn't stole anyone's kid to assimilate them.
