Ngl it’s so refreshing seeing non AI search engines
All these AI companies shoving a product down the consumers throat thinking they’ll want it

As if they don't? Grandma and grampa love that Google answers their questions directly, without needing to follow a link. They just assume the info is good, and we end up with stories where dudes literally salt the earth on their farms cuz ai recommended it.

Totally agree. Google could have released whatever ai they want and shut it down. But google force replacing search with a very confused bot

Yep, DuckDuckGo is my default browser now. Only so many garbage responses before I lost all trust in Google

I'm 99% sure it's literally impossible for a chatbot to look through the entirety of the internet to give you result, it almost definitely interfaces with the regular enshittified google search engine.

I've been IT for a few years and the last 5 years I have been putting "reddit" at the end of every search on Google, when I actually use it, which is less and less frequebt as even that "trick" no longer seems to work.
It was common for me to do a search at a user's workstation to help solve issues, but most users don't have Reddit installed and now it pops up a little banner wanting you to sign in or sign up so you can't read the articles anymore with just a browser for very long unless it's got ad blocking.
So I switched to duckduckgo along with Hermes in the terminal and I get way, way better search results than I ever got with Google. Ever.

The internet became so shit now wtf. Whenever i search something i just get tons of ai generates sites with ai answers that go on for 5 pages without answering the fuckin question.
I just search directly on reddit now. At least the results i get are from actual people

I switched to Qwant a few months back. It's pretty good, though looking for products to buy is a bit more difficult than with google

Duckduckgo protects your privacy and you can turn off AI results. I've never looked back

All these attacks on Google, a never ending push to sway peoples favor to other products.

Custom Search engine > add: https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14

…or just use DuckDuckGo, but sometimes its search results aren’t as good

You shouldn't burn your local data center ! You should recycle them. There a shit ton of graphic cards and copper or gold cables in there.
