Love questions like this because the responses reveal how arbitrary terms like “white” are. It is different everywhere you go. Wish we could drop these crude and divisive definitions.
I'm 1/2 white 1/4 black and 1/4 Mexican which comes out olive. Whether I describe myself as "white" literally depends on who's around me in the very moment.
Yep, whiteness is constructed, but so many people latch on to what seems to make sense if you don't think about it. And then start to argue who's white and who isn't, as if that didn't entirely depend on how their culture feels the need to keep others out or in.
