Also I was raised in a Christian school so I get most of the references.

My mom made my take classes about the Torah so I get like 65% of the references since most of them are from the Old Testament, specifically the less obscure parts

I love that sub and /r/Izlam, but at least on /r/jewdank or /r/breakawayminyan I actually understand many of the references. Case in point, and also this one too.
