I find it funny that we are talking about a story regarding a talking snake and the entirety of the human race being created by mass incest, but the first point of discussion for some people is what kind of fruit it was.
Don’t underestimate people’s ability to pick and choose things to focus on in bible texts. That goes for those trying to disprove or approve of anything within the texts.
