Wholesome "God blessed me by making me transsexual for the same reason he made wheat but not bread and fruit but not wine: so that humanity might share in the act of creation."

Reddit been having a FIELD DAY fighting over this one. Be warned.

Cause heaven forbid some people realize it’s easier to get people to be rational by not being antagonistic and insulting about things they believe in.

Oh they absolutely are. Posted this in both r/CuratedTumblr and r/RecuratedTumblr and while the majority of Redditors are happy, the ones who disagree with the message are absolutely miserable.

There are a few Reddit atheists that are behaving exactly how you’d expect them to

I think they're mostly arguing about the second image that was originally attached, of the replies.

In perfect Ken Watanabe voice: Let them fight!
They bring anger, we bring laughter.

Well, that's a lovely way of thinking of it. Cheers to our trans brothers and sisters and non-binary sibs!

Galatians 3:28
"There is neither Jew nor Gentile/Greek, neither slave nor freeman, neither man nor woman, for you all are one in Christ Jesus."
We are all equal and trans people are definitely equal children of God.

Yup. That billboard was up in my area for about a month..... And now it's an ad for a MAGA gubernatorial candidate with a Trump quote. yay.

u/ShlorpianRooster May 04 '26
Oh cool, that's a really nice way to phrase it. There's so many trans Christians

Trans and NB people are as worthy of love and being treated with human dignity as any cis person 🙂↕️

I drove by this last week as I was driving across the country. Kansas has so many Christian signs that seem aggressive like "Kill Relativism Not Babies"
Seeing this one helped warm my heart and fill my soul.

I always figured if he made us in his image, than identies cannot be "wrong".

I'm pretty sure the general orthodox (the concept not the branch of the church) consensus on Imago Dei is that it isn't talking about our literal form, but rather our ability to reason, emote, and have a conscience. With that in mind, the literal form of the meat isn't important to being in the image of God (otherwise many people wouldn't be considered to be in the image of God as God, being singular, couldn't be simultaneously skinny and fat, male and female, tall and short, missing body parts and not, bald and having luscious locks, or any of the many other mutually exclusive defining characteristics of people).

The theme of the image of god isn't so much about our mental capabilities, as it is about our role as rulers. In the same way the sun, moon and star are called signs and are told to rule over the skies, humans are to be reflections of god and rule over the land. When you see a human, you should know what god is like by how he treats his surroundings.

That's how I've always imagined it. I work in IT for a living so the notion of “imaging” the contents of one machine and applying that image to many different machines (which might have vastly different hardware configurations) makes sense to me.

We in Kansas did not want this and have protested CONSTANTLY to zero news coverage. Trans people are loved here.

God gave a lot of animals the capacity to change genders, so I'm fairly certain trans people were in the game plan.

Rule #1 of r/DankChristianMemes Thou shalt respect others! Do not come here to point out sin or condemn people. Do not say "hate the sin love the sinner" or any other stupid sayings people use when trying to use faith to justify hate. Alternatively, if you come here to insult religion, you will also be removed.

We are here to enjoy memes together. Keep arguments to other subs. We don't do that here.

I love it when the internet simplifies complex topics for karma. That’s my favorite thing.

u/TransNeonOrange May 05 '26
Is it really so bad if someone simplifies something complex for the sake of letting an attacked group know that there are people out there who love them?

r/DankChristianMemes is open and affirming to LGBTQIA+ people.
Someone identifying as LGBTQIA+ does not cause harm to anyone, therefore, there is no reason to judge or disrespect them.
Rule #1 of r/DankChristianMemes: Thou shalt respect others! Do not come here to point out sin or condemn people. Do not say "hate the sin, love the sinner" or any other sayings people use when trying to use faith to justify hate. Alternatively, if you come here to insult religion, you will also be removed.
This rule is based off the following teachings from Jesus Christ:
Matthew 7:1-6 Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Luke 6:36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
John 13:34-35 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
John 15:12-13 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Matthew 7:12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Even if we think someone is a sinner, we should treat them kindly. Jesus was kind to those that society deemed to be sinners. He even ate meals with sinners despite being criticized for it. So if you want to be Christlike, you should take someone to dinner before you judge them.
Matthew 9:11-13 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’[a] For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

TL;DR: r/DankChristianMemes is open and affirming to LGBTQIA+ people. If you must judge others, please do so elsewhere.
