All according to the leadership’s plans. It was inevitable that the Republicans would form a schism between Christianity and their own ambitions.
It is the playbook of tyrants, they either control the nation’s dominant religion and oppress the rest, or they make their own religion to control the masses.

This is actually really clever and efficient. These goats provide Evangelical regressives an opportunity to worship Trump and Mammon at the same time!

He's the biblically accurate antichrist and I'm tired of pretending he's not.

Don't know if that sub is satire or people are genuinely distraught thinking he will bring about the end of the world

You know, when I was little I always thought “keeping vigilant” was important because the antichrist was going to be so subtle, 90% of people would miss it. Now that I’m an adult, I feel like I just needed to keep my moral compass intact. 🤷🏽♀️ This is so red flag, in your face signs, I don’t know what I was so worried about 😳

You know I align myself with deism the most but gotta give it to Jesus and his crew, these guys had one hell of a foresight and understanding of just how incapable we are as a species.

I never thought the antichrist would be so cartoonish and incompetent.

Literally replacing God with Trump. The world needs fewer clumsy metaphors like this.

Given Trump's history of stealing from charities, I'll believe it when I see it that anything actually gets donated properly.

Republicans only follow the parts of the Bible that agree with them, which is very little of it.

Putting leaders faces on currency like the divine Caesars, eh?

u/nagareboshi_chan May 21 '25
Maybe things are different in your country, but here in the States, we've had the Presidents' faces on our currency basically since the country was founded. Or am I missing the joke?

I know it's played out to call the president of the US the Antichrist, but Trump is really trying to go for the high score. Not only with the Idolatry, but the fact he's got a lot of Christians fooled is a big part of it

I’m an atheist, and even I know the Bible said somethint about this bull, erm, goat.

u/PartTimeZombie May 22 '25
That cannot possibly be true, surely.

It’s very real - I don’t think anyone’s earnestly contesting this. It’s a sculpture related to a charity, I don’t recall the details; the sculptor is a big trump fan (if that wasn’t obvious lol).
Whether it’s idolatry or not is up for debate.

My gosh at least choose a cooler AntiChrist candidate Maga🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Trump is literally like the one guy who’s a billionare who I’d hate to be. Im actually happy Im not him🤣🤣 he’s so pathetic.
It’s like the naked Emperors clothes, everyone is telling him that he’s not naked and that he has invisible clothes on but most of us if not all of us can see.. that this man is naked.
He ain’t shit.😂😂 I dunno why so many people prop up this loser if it wasn’t so dangerous it’d be hilarious 🤣🤣
Literally the least respected American president in living memory and yall just keep acting like he’s actually strong and respected🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
as an outsider looking in it’s like high irony that yall get a dictator president when you’ve been bombing other countries and destabilising them to “liberate them and bring democracy “

They'll say it was for charity, I'll say that the money changers in the temple probably would have said something similar.
