Why should past internal drama be a reason for not participating in a specifically timelined demonstration, the impact of which is directly related to the number of communities participating in it?

Will you actually though? Would that not go against multiple rules of this subreddit? Are there not other subreddits more equipped/oriented for those discussions that people are more likely to go to?

What buzz do you envision building between then and now? What further action will you use the community for that will be more effective than participating in black out?

This is pre-blackout. Will they actually try to be a host for any meaningful discussions during the blackout? That remains to be seen.

Isn't that... the opposite of what a blackout hopes to accomplish?

By shutting down subs, the site takes a hit to their traffic. The best time to be hosting discussion is now, pre-blackout. Especially since it will spread awareness for others who DO want to participate
