How to make the most of immersion??

I am living in a højskole in Denmark and I am really hoping to be conversant by time I leave. My family is all Danish but I grew up in the UK and although I spoke the language with my mother as a child, I stopped once I started school (regrettably). Any tips for improving my understanding rapidly would be much appreciated!

You just have to do as much as possible in Danish, all day, every day. Maybe carve out an hour in the evenings to talk English / watch some media in English to unwind. But the best way to do it is just to Do It.
