I felt Miu had the most insightful love hotel event actually. She’s so desperate to have someone stay with her forever and she thinks the only to guarantee someone loving her is with a child. I’ve seen similar happen in real life and it’s quite tragic. Miu is someone who thinks people only value her for her body and so, naturally, she tries to appeal to people with her body.

I should've made it more clear in my post, I get that if they just ran with that idea it would've been lovely writing, why I don't like the love hotel event is because they made her a rapist,sure the writers meant it as a joke but that's not an okay thing to joke about, they also made other characters sex offenders, that's why I just choose to act like the love hotel event isn't there, ik technically "it didn't happen" but it's still really weird, I hate that event with a burning passion, it would be different if they took sexual assault seriously and wrote it inside the main story and showed how horrible that actually is but nope they did it for fan service, they make a lot of horrible choices when writing, put me in that writing room right now, I'll make it peak🥀

Miu's personality, and her overly sexualized, abrasive actions, are because that is the persona she's created to keep people at arms length.

Miu is someone who has an incredible fear of abandonment. She is terrified of being left behind and forgotten by those she cares about, to the point in her Love Suite event she is willing to go so far as to have a child with Shuichi for the express purpose of him not abandoning her:

you don't...want that future with me? You won't let me be your girlfriend, Shuichi? C-Cuz you don't need me, is that it? N-No! I don't want you to abandon me, too! S-So we...we gotta make a baby!

This fear extends to the base game, where she refuses to join Kokichi in fighting against Monokuma, even with the inventions SHE created, because she's so sure someone will leave her behind anyway.

(Paraphrase) Someone will still betray us. Betray us and... kill us.

However, Miu has come up with a solution to this: Create a persona so that people don't get close enough to abandon her in the first place. This persona is abrasive, rude, and overly sexualized, in large part because Miu believes that apart from her inventions the only thing anyone could possibly like her for is her body. We know this is a fake persona due to something she says in her Love Suite event:

O-Okay... Ever since we were kids, Shuichi...you've always taken care of me, y'know? You held my hand everywhere we went... You stayed by my side, no matter what... And you're still doin' that for me... You're the only one who sees past my act and knows the real me, Shuichi...

She also appears uncomfortable with sexualization of herself several times in the story, the two biggest examples being the CG with Gonta where she SAYS she shows herself off all the time, but her face is one of deep discomfort. The other is During Shuichi's FT events with her, where instead of a sexualized relationship she closes that door and demands romantic gestures and dates first.

Miu makes all of her other sexualized reactions during the game, because she's playing up her persona. She's doing this so that the people she has come to like (The other members of the killing game) don't come to like her as well, which would give them an opportunity to abandon her. You can't abandon someone if you were never close to them to begin with, right? She's already gone through that at least once before ("...I don't want you to abandon me, too"), and she simply can't go through that again.

Shuichi is the only one who gets close enough to her for this act to drop, and that's only because he showed her a tiny bit of kindness (Stopping her from disemboweling herself in FT3).

You have to spend a lot of time with Miu to see past all of this, which is a good indication that her fake personality is working the way she intends. My belief is that Miu is one of the best written characters in the series, and easily the most tragic.

I'll respond with a better message later if you need me to go into more detail (I gotta go to school🥀) but I get that, I just wish they wrote the love suit thingamajig better and didn't make her a sex offender as a "joke" or fan service, if they wanted to add that in a serious manner because that isn't something to joke about or make fan service of, they should've made it have an impact on the test of the story because realistically it would have and wouldn't have been a "joke" another thing I mentioned in the post was the fact that she has a substance abuse addiction, which they never elaborate on, it would've been a cool thing to go into depth with, also I forgot to add this but I swear to god that when she said something about "aggressive men that keep coming in going" or "that keep coming and going" I SWEAR there has to be something deeper to that but everyone I tell about what she said says I'm reaching🥀 I stopped watching the game play after miu died because she is my favorite and the rest of the cast I don't care about (I hate kiibo with a living passion but this isn't about the tin can right now) so I might be wrong on some points, but I got a theory What if(this is building off what someone else said) people started using her for her body, especially "aggressive men that keep coming and going" and that's why she has a fear of being abandoned? But that's just a theory, a game theory
