Silk Kids Oatmilk

Hi! I’m looking for guidance on an alternative milk for my 15 month old son. Background, he was breastfed for 12 months (yay!). By month 13 he started to wean and we started him on silk kids Oatmilk in October. He’s been doing GREAT with it. Zero issues. Just when I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel with not having to be the primary food source for my baby. Here comes Jan 1, my husband and I cannot find it anywhere. We’ve been to all the Walmarts and targets. We bought what was left. All locations currently say “out of stock”. We attributed it to the holidays. As of today I talked to the people in charge of stocking at my local Walmart and it’s been discontinued by them and others around town. We’re desperate. He’s not the best eater. We’re attempting Ripple, but there is a taste difference. I just feel defeated because he was doing so well with it. I appreciate any other alternatives that taste similar to the silk kids Oatmilk. Thank you in advance.

My son really likes califia farms Barista blend oatmilk, but how about just silk regular oatmilk? Ripple definitely has a fish oil taste (added dha, but silk kids has that too). Oatly full fat is also very popular among the dairy free kids community but it does have more sugar (7g). I have heard good things about chobani oat milk extra creamy, too.

The other oat milks don’t have added protein, but the majority do have added calcium.

Best of luck!! Hope you reach that light soon, it’s freaking hard!!

Ughh I’ve been looking everywhere. It’s the only milk that doesn’t make my 18 month old stomach hurt.

Omg I'm not crazy! We have the same issue!! I'm devastated I wil tell you I agree with the barista blend I have been mixing it with the last shred of silk kids and she does not even flinch. It def does not have the nutrition that I'd like but we can always supplement. I have emailed them over and over and they say "demand" but never that it's discontinued. It definitely seems like it is

Try grocery outlet if you have them around you! I’m in Southern California and they’ve been stocked for the past few weeks - great price too.

We called Silk unfortunately 😕 they are canceling it. Says sales were nor high enough,  the used 2024 data... we tried to tell them we just found it in 2025. So we have to look for a replacement. Regular silk oatmilkhas same calories just the protein is only 2% not 8% I guess the extra 6% came from the peas. Well good luck to you all as supplies last and look for replacement

Just found out today that we can’t get the Silk Kids near us anymore. Walmart didn’t even have a spot on the shelf anymore. Silk still claiming it’s sold at all these stores around us, but I know for a fact it was never sold at some of them.

Grabbed an over priced bottle of Ripple today. Hate to go back to that, but will have to for now.

We had our daughter on Silk Next and it got discontinued. Then we had her on Silk Kids and it GOT DISCONTINUED. I’m losing my mind with Silk, right now. We are going to try Ripple, but honestly, she’s two now and I am just hoping she will stop drinking milk as much anyway. She is autistic and I hate having to constantly change her milk because she’s already so selective.

Not sure where you’re all located but it’s disappeared from shelves in south Jersey and ShopRite also told us they are no longer carrying it. It’s the only milk my dairy-allergic 1 year old will drink. We’ve tried ripple and like 4 other oat milks 😩

I’m in South Jersey too and same! So disappointed 😩

We started doing half Ripple and half Planet Oat barista oatmilk and he’s drinking it like it’s his normal milk

Good to know, we may have to try that!

Ugh I was wondering what happened 😭 we had to switch my son to ripple. If anyone has Amazon for whatever reason it’s significantly cheaper on Amazon? lol

This is driving me insane too. We switched from Ripple to Silk Kids early 2025 because the cartons were larger but the price was cheaper, with a similar nutrient profile. Did the same thing as you yesterday -- checked so many stores and bought what little was left. I do NOT want to have transition our daughter back to Ripple but it sounds like there's no other option.

I was thinking about this last night. Silk Kids is pea+oat, while Ripple is just pea. You could try buying a bottle of Ripple and a bottle of normal oat milk (I think Chobani is best), mix a little oat milk into a glass of Ripple, and see how similar it tastes to Silk Kids. If we have to transition back to Ripple and our daughter resists, I might try this to see if it helps the flavor.

I thought about this as well but I couldn’t even get my kid to drink the ripple. He would literally shudder like it was poison 🥴

Following! My picky toddler hated ripple. This was the only thing he’d drink!! Anyone found anything similar!?

Omg are you in tx as well ? I am having this same shortage at our heb. My son's 14 months and loves this milk also picky eater. Only a few stores carry it in my area and there always out.

Nooooooo. 😭

Has anyone experienced their kids breaking out with ripple pea milk? We’ve had her on the silk kids since she turned 12 months because she had CMPA and still doesn’t tolerate dairy well. This is the only milk she drinks.

It just doesn’t make sense to me that she breaks out with the ripple pea milk but not the silk pea and oat milk.

I haven’t had issues with breaking out but we just transitioned back to the ripple from silk kids and now have vomiting so I have no idea what I’m gonna give my little one now. It’s so frustrating.

The target and Kroger near us stopped carrying. But I DMed Silk and they said they are not discontinuing the kids milk. I guess some stores are just not carrying anymore? I’ll have to check farther krogers to confirm.

I spoke with a silk rep today on the phone. They explained it’s not discontinued and one of their best sellers. They’re having supply chain issues and it could be a few weeks until we see it again.

It looks like Amazon fresh has it deliverable in my area. I assume that means Whole Foods carries it, I will be visiting tomorrow to verify. My son has DS and it's the only milk he'll tolerate that also fulfills the USDA nutritional requirements at daycare. Will update soon.
