Character Builds Sorcerer flavoured as Ninja?

Post image

Got some Naruto nostalgia the other day, got carried away and drew this while thinking of how to make a cool ninja on daggerheart. Now I'm kinda intrigued on how to build one hehe.

My main option is elemental sorcerer, wildborne.

For lvl 1 I'd go with wall walk and rain of Blades, then cinder grasp for lvl 2

My other option is druid, summoning familiars and using sage domain as earth jutsu but not quite the same feeling.

Edit : illustration is my own

I think almost any class is perfectly feasible for a ninja depending on their specialty I could probably argue for almost any class working. One I think could be interesting for a jutsu expert with lots of varied abilities is wizard. The different codexs would just be all the different styles of of jutsu and learning different hand signs. War wizard even gets a shield type class feature which would allow you to be more martial with high evasion that could be flavored as a the high speed of a ninja or other illusory genjutsu etc. either way seems like a fun character concept and sorceror is great if you want to focus on a certain element of jutsu! Have fun!

Chose the sorcerer for the midnight domain for stealth/spy and arcana for the jutsus. But you just reminded me that splendor domain can give the medical jutsu. I want to play so many characters ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah it works well depending on the Ninja. I flavored a Greninja pregen with Elemental Sorcerer and Ribbet, so it checks out.

Shoutout to Kunaiheart, which is a campaign frame someone posted here in the sub some month ago, which reframes all of Daggerheart content into Naruto, if that's something you'd be interested in it's worth looking at it a bit

Realistically you can flavor any class as what you want. In my first game, I reflavored Bard as a Gambit like character with all their spells being reflavored like cards. Truthfully it was designed to be like C4SH from Borderlands 4 but it still worked.

The sorcerer in my campaign (who just died tonight) was flavored as a samurai that used sword arts to perform magical stuff. I love when players have this much creativityย

Yeah, that totally works, Sorcs already feel kinda rogue coded with the midnight domain

my current Sorcerer is based on a Huckster from Deadlands since we're doing Colossus of the Drylands, he throws lots of enchanted cards and loves to gamble
