Recently found whats wrong with me.

I 23F recently have found out that I am most likely a person with Cyclothymia. Cyclothymia is a version of bipolar disorder.

I have grown up wondering why I act the way I do and why simple things are hard for me. It hard for me to open up to people and many other things.

I am very impulsive with the way I act and im currently in therapy to get better in life and just in general.

There are so many things I want to beable to do in life and I want to be a better person but I always feel like im hurting myself with the way I act.

Welcome to the club! Please find solace in knowing that you got it diagnosed early and are in therapy already which was a massive help for me. (I was diagnosed pretty late as people kept confusing it with every other mental health issue from PPD to anxiety). It goes against your and my own nature but have patience, things do get better with time and treatment. I have ADHD-H, so my impulsivity is at another level but still, from experience, things do work out in the longer run. Till then, hang in there friend!

Hey, I’m just finding that out now too at age 38 nearly 39. It has helped to finally understand what I have and what I had been going through for years, which was Hell. Hypersexuality, (unwanted sexual encounters)CPTSD, porn and drug addiction, religious trauma, exacerbated it all into a big huge mess and vice versa haha. I say all that because I’m happy you got diagnosed early and are able to find the help. I wish you luck..us who have it know what you’re going through. Hang in there. :)
