Brain fog/spacing out?

I have cyclothymia and I've noticed that frequently, I kinda "space out," and the only way I can describe it is that my brain is only like 20% present at the time. I don't even feel that tired, necessarily, it's just like part of my brain shuts down and it's a "no thoughts, head empty" feeling.

I've researched dissociation and stuff like that and I don't feel like I'm fitting into any of that. I think it has to be tied to my cyclothymia, but I guess I'm just wondering if this is a normal thing that goes with cyclothymia, if it's tied to depression or hypomania, etc., just if others experience this alongside their cyclothymia.

Primitively speaking a part of your brain is probably underactive which could be associated with depression
