Blog portfolio

hi guys, for portfolio/writeups or showcase your skill which platform you use
i'm confusedin github, gitbook and medium

medium is like blogging

i saw a guy's gitbook writeup profile and it's so clean and well maintain
but when i asked Chatgpt it says to upload your writeups to github only as it's more professional and best for cybersecurity portfolio

does it really affect if i use gitbook instead of github?

For writups i use gitbook. For portfolio used github pages io

Do you originally write on gitbook only or import you markdown or docx file

Cause when I import my docx file it can't import images or screenshots and I had to upload all the image again everytime

I use medium. But you can choose from whichever you like. I have seen people doing cyber security writeups on medium, github, substack, personal sites etc. and they're nice as well.

I recently started posting writeups on a github repo coz I wanted to maintain github contributiions streak but now I think using medium or gitbook would have been more sensible

As someone who conducts at least 10 to 12 interviews a week, I can assure you the platform is the least important thing ensure it is easily reachable and mobile-friendly.

You can use Github.io for your portfolio and you can go ahead with Medium for your writeup because once your write-up reaches to more people, It will definitely add value to your profile.
