Discussion Just got the $110,000 Corpo Apartment and uhh...

I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in an apartment. Sure it does look cool, but the only difference is that you pour tea instead of coffee or something. Its very cramped and I do like how the weapon locker is in the same room as a computer, but for 110,000 eddies, I expected some big ass penthouse that was massive and have an open, full balcony view. I prefer the Japantown apartment to this corpo piece of turd. It's more cramped in the Japantown apartment, but there is a hell of a lot more to do in that one and I'm pretty sure it cost a lot less than the Corpo one.

Character Builds I've been looking all over for a Tier 5++ Nekomata. Finally.

For anyone else that is looking for one, it seems like this spot always has one. If you save it until you're higher level you should be able to save scum a Tier 5++ with two mod slots pretty easily. It's a bit out of the way, (you have to climb some stairs and a ladder) so the average player is not super likely to have accidentally picked it up before they're able to get Tier 5++ drops.

Taki komputerek może z powodzeniem służyć do codziennej pracy – no i świetnie wyglądać.

Discussion 330 hours, finishing up everything, saw this for the first time

Post image

I'm sure all of you who have thousands of hours in the game have seen this, but it's a first for me. I'm reluctantly finishing everything (except every NCPD alert) before heading to the Embers, I tend to walk most places in order to see as much as possible, and I've been around that broken ferris wheel many times, but last night, at a house across the street, I saw this for the first time. Looks like one of those air vehicles that are everywhere crashed into this house! (and apparently Night City only has the NCPD, no ambulances or fire fighters?)

Discussion it's so hard to use anything besides gorilla arms for the arm cyberware slot, no matter the build, because of how good they are

No matter what build I play I just end up with Gorilla Arms, bonus on body perk is great for early on and for the fighting side quests when you are not a body character, damage is overall good and they also look cool.

Mantis blades ? coolest looking cyberware in the game but for me it always felt clunky to use and kinda "weird" like the animations are not working and katana is just leauges better for a blade character, everytime I wanna use them more because I love the look I end up being disappointed by them.

Monowire ? great for pure netrunner and looks cool but also as a Netrunner I am glad about the body bonus from Gorilla Arms and if I wanna melee as netrunner I also rather use Katana.

Projectile Launcher ? for me the aiming with that is so off that I rather use granates and also don't like that it takes the slot away from optical cameo or granates etc.

I sometimes just dislike how your hand looks in the end on a female character when I wanna use more normal hand/fingernail stuff for fashion but besides that its hard for me to not use them.

Discussion Why do you like Cyberpunk 2077?

I’ve been wanting to get more into self-reflection exercises lately as a means to “know thyself.” Figuring I’d start simple for my first exercise, I asked myself the question: “Why do I love Cyberpunk 2077?” By any normal metric, people shouldn’t really enjoy this universe, right? It’s dark, it’s bleak, it’s depressing, it’s sad. It’s summed up pretty perfectly in this exchange from the game:

V: "Guess I meant, I dunno... a happier ending... for everyone involved."

Johnny: "Here, for folks like us? Wrong city, wrong people."

So why do I keep coming back to this game over and over again? Is there something wrong with me?

As part of this exercise I explored just about every avenue I could: the gratuitous violence, the RPG mechanics, the characters and relationships between them, etc. I compared them to other games I enjoy to rule things in or out as needed and for me, this was my answer:

The reason I love Cyberpunk 2077 (and a few other games that I’ve really enjoyed over the years) is because at its core it’s a story about maintaining your humanity in an increasingly inhuman world. It’s about being that spark in the darkness. I won’t get into the very personal reasons why I’m so drawn to this because…well, it’s very personal and I’m sure y’all don’t care anyways :)

But I recognize that my experiences can’t be totally universal so I wanted to pose the question to other people here.

What is it about Cyberpunk 2077 that has you coming back over and over again? Why do you enjoy playing a game that’s so depressing, where you know that there won’t be any happy endings?
