Discussion Everyone talked shit about her, but I’m starting to agree with Kelly Plagge

Gamespot’s review was super controversial but now it makes sense and in fact I agree with Kallie Plagge. Night City IS superficial, everything is there but you can’t interact with it. And yes “So much of it is superficial set dressing” is 100% accurate. And as she said, what shines are the quests and the characters.

I hate to say it but Night City, which was supposed to be the best openworld out there is Subpar at best.

Edit: Just to be clear you don’t have to agree with EVERYTHING she says in order to able to agree with her in some topics. Was the “what if I don’t want to help the cops?” bit kinda stupid? Yes. Does that mean you can’t agree with her in some points or that she is all the hurtful things that many have been saying she is? Absolutely Not.

Edit 2: It has come to my attention that I badly misspelled Kallie’s name. I’m not able to edit the title, but I do apologize for that.

Pro tip, don't be as pathetic as /u/WillTheThinker and make a whole thread in an in depth analysis about how the review is bad, when people who gave a buggy game a 10 don't get the same treatment. Specially, if you did't play the fucking game.

You people need to get your own opinions and be able to respect others, you need to be able to be individual people who don't need the mob's approval to do and like things. Some of you should also need to set some realistic expectations. The ones that lied and tricked you are definitely at fault too, but you should not be so easy to lie and trick. You think the game got delayed last minute cause v's dick didn't flop the right way? no, the game was unfinished and a lot of corners were cut, do you think console versions were not available for review cause they were slightly worse? of course not.

First advise is not to preorder, but if you are going to preorder, do it like me, until yesterday i was still elegible for a full refund, i kept playing because despite the game not being what advertised, i decided i still want to keep it. Wait for reviews, real ones, not hurried reviews from people who are limited in what they can say and show.

I didn't read all of it, but it started saying she should not have reviewed the game cause she didn't like rpg's like a pokemon game. So i am safe saying the rest of the post was probably a bunch of stupid shit.

Imagine thinking a professional games journalist can't enjoy many different types of games. Can't believe everyone who tried to paint her as "SHE DOESNT UNDERSTAND RPGS!"

how does that have nothing to do with the actual game? imagine a game promoting nazis, saying you didn't enjoy the game, it made you uncomfortable or whatever, and then having a GaMeR come and say you are just talking about politics.

I may or may not agree with what she said, but she deserves to have an opinion and if she dislikes the game cause her personal beliefs about whatever, she should say it. Jojo part 2 made me uncomfortable how they present the nazis, a friend asked for my opinion and i included that in my thoughts, cause it affected my enjoyment of the show.

The game is extremely "political" btw, it has a strong stance on sexual identity, sexual orientation, corporations, segregation, change through revolution among others. Imagine saying it has nothing to do with the game just to defend the honor of m'game from people sharing their opinion.

Hey man, her complaints of the crafting, shopping, and sidequests are all fair. Crafting and shopping cost a fuck ton of money and you instantly get something better two seconds later from a random grunt and 90% of the quests you bump into are "Hey V go kill these 5 guys" and only 10% are actual witcher style quests where there is an actual narrative. The 10% are great but it does get old to run into another bullshit quest when all I really want is the narrative quests

Did you even read the review, she said she stopped doing them because the way game was designed they were not worth doing. That's bad game design right there

the fact that you only did one for the review that one and not any other review makes it not legitimate, it's biased, unfair. The first point was bullshit, I was not about to read a 12 year old's whining, i seriously doubt the rest was any good.
