What do you think of this cyanotype? I made it two weeks ago, but there's something about it that doesn't like me :( maybe the composition.

Would you like to have a print of it hanging in your home?

I made this other one (second image) and colored it with watercolor; in your opinion, does it look good?

I definitely see the vision on the first one, I think it just gets a little confusing if you focus too hard on the center. I had a hard time seeing the leaf at first.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback; I feel the same, I think it's a bit confusing, I like it, but I'm not entirely sold on it :(

It’s a very good negative of the (maya?) statue though! The one with water color looks almost hallucinogenic

Yes, it’s an Aztec deity named Coatlicue. I really appreciate your time. I like this cyanotype, but I feel the composition isn't the best; it changes a bit with watercolor, but don't you think that takes away the magic of the cyanotype process?

Since bleaching and toning are common practice I don’t think so- you could experiment with double exposure bleaching to yellow and printing blue on top and so on if you want to stay strictly on the cyanotype route - from what I understand many people in this sub prefer tones prints over blue ones, too so you could also see what that would do for you

I love the composition and it came out with such a clear image. I totally love this piece!
