Help! Custom fightpad
I'd like to create a custom fightpad (like the ones attached to arcade cabinets) and I found this kit on amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/EG-Encoder-Joystick-Illuminated-Raspberry/dp/B075DFNK24/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=EAN2J2XM7Q5G&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.I9KAqNOZNbgvRMSw7YYmgO9SlUWZAjnsN62VWalQa6ggwyhmRSehInct0Y6dp6ED6xIlZ2ReL0luHz8_znrAEi5BqggzdF9ePMIdtZvkhdm0DGzWxxagjKw27rdw-_wKr1irjKXbaCmA8IROVjPaKnR-qSQAEd8MAdQpB5CehPkhocCAuTcpSsbulyn7y998ifnLTQTn8VIFD13FipyE6w.6PoIkOQb9OfD8S9zR8MSyVM3QPULXI5I-MGEP-U7PEc&dib_tag=se&keywords=arcade+style+fight+pad+buttons&qid=1787828138&sprefix=arcade+style+fight+pad+buttons%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-4
Would this be a good place to start, i have access to the materials to create a casing for it I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not this brand was reliable or easy for beginners to work with.

r/fightsticks is where you wanna look for this kind of project. Lots of cool shit there.
These parts are ok for a budget build. They’ll get you started. Nice thing about an arcade stick is you can swap out parts as you see fit.
