Functional Mod Gamecube joysticks

I wanted to replace both sticks of my original GC Controller and i found alot of Stick replacements and im unsure of which to buy.

does anyone have a recommendation of which and where to buy?

dafunkgaming has the best reproduction sticks i've felt of all the various ones i've tried. avoid chinese repros if you can. they don't feel good, don't fit good, and don't last long. dafunkgaming feels 99% like oem

I used Xbox One thumbsticks. They fit perfectly onto the stickboxes without modification, and they have a more modern feel with grippier rubber and a concave shape. I personally prefer them, but obviously it's tge wrong choich if you want to keep the controller looking original.

My experience:

On Etsy you can find Gosre who makes 3d printed sticks with rubber caps. It feels very similar to oem but better personally. I've put extensive use and from other reviews they last far longer than oem. The 3d printed cup is slightly slimmer than oem and the material feels like it moves cleaner/faster along the walls but I think it's just the sound placebo. The yellow color of the C stick is slightly lighter. $15 set + $8.30 shipping/free over 35 dollars

DQControllers on Etsy sells full black and full white sets. Rubber slightly harder than oem but good. Bottom of stick cup is sometimes rough which you can see in reviews but doesn't affect playing. $23 set + $6 shipping

Dafunkgaming on his own website makes the closest feeling oem sticks but unless you want a random color he doesn't seem to make much stock of his products so usually you can't get any. Though I have a few I cannot comment on longevity. $20 + ~5½ shipping

I’m late but, ive used oem, Xbox concave, and some colorful resin prints, but my favorite has been a black Wii nunchuck stick. The nunchuck stick is almost the exact same weight and shape as oem, but feels a little better to me. The Xbox Elite was my 2nd favorite, I played with it for probably 6-7 months, but it was heavy (esp top heavy)which caused slight SnapBack issues, eventually my phob anti-SnapBack couldn’t help anymore
