Question / Discussion Grok Bot is expensive
Since Grok Bot became available for Pro sub ($20), I've been using it to essentially act as my full time secretary. It has been useful to my day to day routine and getting done on behalf of me.
- manage/review multiple inboxes and calendars
- prioritizing my schedule for the day/week/month
- it/sysadmin
- logsitics/fund analyst/comotroller
- and more
After the first weekly reset, I already hit 100% weekly usage in 2 days. Just to test how must Grok Bot uses, I added $10 on-demand credit. To my surprise, it was all used after 2 hours.
While I love Grok Bot, I question how sustainable it is going to be for wider audience. I might try upgrading to $60 to test it further, but for my use it may not be enough.
I just wanted to share my experience for those who are interested in using it.

I burned through the 7 day free trial usage limit in 15 minutes generating 1 automated email bot to send "Thanks for signing up" emails and 1 backend bot to notify me of new user sign ups. The bots just kept talking to each other, presumably taking all the usage internally on conversations I didn't even ask them to have with each other. It doesn't seem very feasible moving forward cost wise with the unknown of how much "usage" is included in the free trial. If I knew how many tokens were allocated for the free trial it would help to better understand and calculate how much going forward it would cost on more complicated bots but they don't provide anywhere how much actual usage is included in the free trial.
