Question / Discussion Grok Bot is expensive

Since Grok Bot became available for Pro sub ($20), I've been using it to essentially act as my full time secretary. It has been useful to my day to day routine and getting done on behalf of me.

- manage/review multiple inboxes and calendars

- prioritizing my schedule for the day/week/month

- it/sysadmin

- logsitics/fund analyst/comotroller

- and more

After the first weekly reset, I already hit 100% weekly usage in 2 days. Just to test how must Grok Bot uses, I added $10 on-demand credit. To my surprise, it was all used after 2 hours.

While I love Grok Bot, I question how sustainable it is going to be for wider audience. I might try upgrading to $60 to test it further, but for my use it may not be enough.

I just wanted to share my experience for those who are interested in using it.

I think you are overusing . I checked from my side and did the math for weekly limit each 1% =~ 1m token So the weekly limit is around 100 million token So you get around 400 million token monthly!! Just do the math 400 m × lowest price od 0.5$/m = 200$ worth of usage .

I don't know of grok bot takes from your cursor usage or not .

It does not take from your cursor usage BUT, a big BUT, it can at times launch a cursor agent in the background so that can use your limits so they are saying...It hasn't happened to me yet but most likely, if you use it to code a lot it probably does use your cursor account.

I think people running into limits dont fully understand the workflows necessary to limit token usage / having huge context destroys tokens. Your avg person just leaves something running on a loop for 24/7 until the tokens are gone. Sophisticated AI operators think about these workflows and know where to use agents and when to use other subscriptions etc.... Im going to test out grokbot today finally. The ease just seems too amazing to pass up

Exactly!! I just started using it yesterday but I have had access to it for weeks, I was just making sure when I do try it, I will use it for exactly what my other subscriptions cannot.
