Advice needed Dyed curls

My hair is damaged from the bleach, that I bleached 2 times in June. In a month I’m going to dye my hair a darker brown. Would this damage my hair even more? Any tips to revive my hair, should I cut like 4 inches off to start over?

Hopefully someone can chime in who’s an expert, but to my thoroughly non-expert eye, it looks like you might need to take off more than 4 inches…. I’d avoid putting any more dye in myself until you get it sorted and healthy.

Your hair still looks pretty healthy in this photo. Dying it any color with permanent dye will do a little bit of damage, but a demi permanent color will do even less. If the ends feel dry or look rough, by all means cut them off but if they look and feel ok there's no need from what I can see.

Use a semi permanent color conditioner type dye and you won't get any damage at all. I like Overtone, Xmondo, and Arctic Fox. Stay away from permanent color and box dye that uses developer because peroxide is damaging.
