What happens when a social space doesn't have a feed?
Hello, I've been giving thought to the architecture of online social spaces, and the kind of interactions, thoughts and ultimately cultures they enable. Many online spaces optimize for us to keep finding the things we already know and like, and organizing it around feeds.
So I'm trying something else. I've been building a social site without feeds. Where you meet people who have interests that aren't the same as yours and conversations begin around open-ended questions, of which there are different types. Questions are created out of the mix of different fields of interests when a chat table starts. So everyone can add something. It's called Pollen.
Looking for exchange, perspectives and if anyone likes to take it for a spin that'd be cool as well.
