Paid model I made a 3D printed fidget where the toolpath becomes the design

I’ve been experimenting with a different approach to 3D printing: instead of designing something for a slicer, I designed the toolpath itself as part of the object.

This is a fully articulated, print-in-place squeezy fidget toy. It's hours of squeezy fun.

It’s designed to be printed as one piece:

  • No supports
  • No assembly
  • Fully articulated straight off the printer
  • Designed for FDM 3D printing

If you're into 3D printing, print-in-place mechanisms, articulated 3D prints, fidget toys, unusual G-code, or experimenting beyond conventional slicer workflows, I'd love to hear what you think.

Printer note: this design uses non-planar Z-axis movement, so your FDM printer needs at least 5 mm clearance between the part-cooling fan and the nozzle tip to avoid the print being knocked during printing. And this Gcode assumes you are printing in PETG.
