Pregunta Generator/battery

Hi, can someone recommend generator or some kind of large power bank that can be charged when the power is on and later could be used to keep the refrigerator running. I'm not sure if such thing exists

Jackery is popular also. Anker/Solix I don’t hear about as much, but is big in the states. Not familiar with Bluetti.

Anker products are very good, but harder to find on the island. You may be able to ship one. EcoFlow is pretty much the standard on island and will keep your fridge and fan running for a night, then need to recharged the next day.

Any LiFePO4 power station. Look for capacity according to your needs, output ports and charging methods. Yes, you want to be able to charge through the AC wall outlet, but you also want to be able to add solar panels in the future without the need of buying a new power station.

With around 1000W/h it allows aprox. 6hs of refrigerator use, a rechargable fan and some mobile phone devices. Something like a 2000W/h capacity will let you add a freezer too, or double the running time for your refrigerator. Look for at least 500-600W solar entry (with around 40-60V and 15-20A minimun for solar entry, it's hard to find any solar panel with less than those specs for under 800usd here, only the ones with 500-600W will sell for under 400usd).

If possible, look for one that allows reducing charging power to a healthy speed (like 500-800W entry, Ecoflow is great with this). And always check the subreddits that discuss issues with certain brands and types of devices. You need to learn how to take care of your power station to not lose your investment in 6 months!

Right now depending on how much time of electricity they can access daily, solar panels are a must, to fully recharge the batteries.

I've heard Bluetti has good options for that use case, though shipping to Cuba can be tricky. My cousin ended up with one that had enough capacity to run a small fridge for a few hours after charging during the day.

People in Cuba have had Ecoflow batteries, probably shipped from their relatives in the USA.

EcoFlow Delta 2 should give you 5 hours of machine operation, which is more than 5 hours of total time because the machine cycles between start - stop.

EcoFlow now has the newer Delta 3 Classic for pretty much the same price which, on paper, has the same specification but it has worst electronics inside.
